mounting a Class 3 step bumper hitch on an FEL

I remember seeing that, too. It was angle cut on the rear with that end welded to the top of the bucket so as to come out relatively parallel to the ground when the bucket was in the 'dump' position.
If you want to do that on yours the only halfway tough part would be getting the angle cut that you want. For that, just park on a level surface and put your bucket wherever you want it to be when your receiver is parallel to the ground. Place a level on the receiver tube to get the proper angle then mark on side of the tube with a protractor and cut along the line then weld it on. Just make sure you don't take so much off the back you can't line up your holes with your insert without trimming it, too. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I might suggest cutting from one edge across so you just remove a triangular piece (when viewed from the side) as opposed to taking off a larger, four sided chunk.

After rereading the aforementioned thread on the various ways of moving a trailer, I thought maybe I ought to break down and admit what I did this week. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I was in a hurry to move a trailer out at my place so I could get it nearer the building so I could do some work on it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I just hopped on my tractor and lined a center tooth on my toothbar up under the coupler, tilted the bucket all the way up and off I went. Obviously having a good amount of tongue weight was a plus for this as there was nothing else keeping the coupler down on the tooth.

I had move my car trailer the same way a couple times. I even put a ball in the trailer hitch and then used the box blade a couple times.
I welded a peice of box tube to the back of the box blade. Actually had it welded since my welder isn't big enough. Looks just like what in that bucket pic. The box blade has a lip for added support though. It has been working great to move the car trailer, little dump trailer and cultipacker. Just switch the insert, use one without a ball for the pin type stuff.
