I have a ZTR 50 with a 23Hp Kohler engine. Manf. date is Oct 2005. Last time I moved I decided to clean the mover after, I washed it and got it clean, carefully not to spray water on the engine. Yesterday when I got it out to mow, when I releast the break it stalls. I manually held in the safety button and it was ok, then when I moved the controll arms in it stalled.
Here is what all I haved checked. I found one fuse on what would be the passenger side of the mower right it front of the engine, it is ok. I disconnected a double green wire that bolts to one of the bolts on the starter ( grounded ) thinking if I could bypass the saftey switch and get it fixed later. Well that bypassed the break and controll arm safety switches but when I went to engage the blades, nothing, it didnt stall but the didnt engage either. Does anyone know how to fix this prob. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
