The move is done, and the barn is in my back yard now. It is still on the trailer, as I am pretty spent from a hard day of lugging oak 8x8's, jacks, logs, chains, etc. I took lots of pics, and my wife shot a 5 or so minute video of it going down the road, and me placing it in the backyard. The damage to the building was limited to a couple of shingles from tree branches.
The hardest part was lifting the building the final foot in the air, as once you have say 24 inches of blocking under it, a strong breeze could nock it over, and one actualy did once. Luckily nobody was injured, and the building and equipment were unharmed from the fall. The second attemp we were successful at raising the building to 34 inches all the way around.
I would say my guess on the building weight being around 2 to 3k was pretty low, as the suspension on the trailer was squatted pretty low as were the tires. Towing it, it felt more like 4 to 5k.
Pics and video to come in next day or two. Right now I am going to relax with a couple cold adult beverages.
