moving a shed

One other thing....if you do use a boom pole, make sure you have something in the front end loader (cinder blocks, gravel, dirt, whatever) to load the front end down. Otherwise, it will come up on you.

I don't know how much your shed weighs or how much you FEL will lift.

Here is how I moved my little pumphouse for the tank replacement.

Wow. That's pretty cool. I think my 10 X 10 run-in is a too large for the BX 2230 to pull that off.

The nice part about pvc is it's lite and easy to handle and move.

I at one time had a job where I built these and delivered them ranging in sizes up to 16 x 20. Almost all of them had 4x4 or 6x6 timbers under them that were used for loading, unloading and moving around the yard. These typically had drilled holes and eye bolts under the front and rear for loading onto flatbed trailers and moving (we unloaded with simple 2x4's and a rear mounted winch.

I have moved as large as 12x16's that have been sitting for years. Typically I would use 2 to 3 hi-lift jacks to get them up and slide 2x4's under them to start. If the rails are under them, hook to them with a small tractor or truck and pull. If there are no "loading" rails, they can be carefully added by using 4x4 longer than the shed.

If you have to cross soft soil, use wood cross timbers (usually 2x4 or 2x6) similar to what they say the Egyptians did moving stones for the pyramids.

HEY THAT'S CHEATING /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Funny I was getting unloaded yesterday at a nursery and
they were using the exact same machine. Worked real nice, unloaded everything from one side of the truck with the telescoping boom(2000lbs skids of pavers).
