Wow, $750 to rent a concrete pumper for a few hours? And I thought my part of the country was the most expensive place to get anything done. I guess it all depends on the specific job - if they have to run hose for a thousand feet, then it's going to cost an arm and a leg. Also, if they need to come in with a boom pumper to get over a house or way up in the air, then I could see some big dollars attached to it.

And, this job would take at least three trucks - they're definitely not going to want to tie up three trucks for a few hours of wait-time. I suppose it would be possible to stagger the delivery times, but I sure wouldn't want to be the one coordinating that one... It's hard enough to get just one truck delivered when you expect it.

First truck leaves arrives at 7:30 am second truck leaves shop at 8:30 1/2 hour to arrive. Truck shoot will reach into garage door. I only have to run back and forth. Its either this or wheel barrows. Concrete company allows 15 minutes per yard. 10 yards per truck alot of work. Let you know how we make out.

You're lucky, we only get 5 minutes a yard, with 9 yards on a typical truck. The clock starts as soon as they pull into the yard.

Job went very well. Ended up being 25 yards started at 7:45 10 yards first truck empty by 9:00 that included stopping to go get my Lasser level. Truck 2 done by 10:40 had to take tractor out of basement after 6 yards and start wheelbarrowing rest. No room to work tractor. Took lunch while the truck went back to refill. Done with last 5 yards by 12:30.
