I would really like to get a 12 foot batwing cutter to decrease my mowing time.

Do you feel you could run it with less horse power?

I am also looking forward to hearing how it works when the grass is green.

I too think the high blade tip speed should increase the cut quality.

Too be honest, I think it's too early to say if I think less HP would run it ok. I think it will do just fine in green grass with my tractor. It was recommended by the dealer and friend to sharpen the blades closer to a lawn mower blade and it will help with the cut as well. I will show in some more video in the final version that when I added 1 more ring to raise the height another inch or so it really helped with dispersing the clippings. I was also mowing pretty fast and will simply slow down a bit if needed. I was amazed at how much faster it makes mowing go. I think it will cut down times over half since turns take so much time and I will be turning a lot less as well. It's obviously my first use, but very happy so far. We will see how it holds up. It is built well so unless something really odd happens, I don't expect any issues.
