Moving to the Farm

Nice pictures. Those calves can get testy when it's milk time. We had one that we bottle fed because his mamma got mastitis. My sister and mamma thought it would be smart to bring it in the house on cold mornings. {I was too young to be much help} That worked fine for a while, but he still wanted to come in for his breakfast when he was a couple hundred pounds heavier. The old barb wire around the pasture didn't keep him from butting the kitchen door every morning.

Mental note, no cows in the house. Not that my wife would let me.

We use to have pigs in the house. If a sow pigged during very cold weather dad would put towels in the clothes basket and bring the pigs in to the kitchen to dry off and warm up. Then back out they went. Sometimes milking the sow and feeding the pigs inside.

I don't think she'll let me have pigs in the house either.

Calves grow really fast at that age. The chicks look good. BIL makes pretty good money selling chicks and eggs for hatching. It looks like you have picked a good breed to do that with.
