Mower Deck compatibility?

Hey folks, first post here.

I've got a 19.5HP Craftsman with Hydrostatic drive that I picked up used without a mower deck. I've come across a 21hp YS4500 with a 42" deck and a blown motor. Will the deck fit on mine??

Has anyone made a swap like this before?

Or would I be better off putting the 19.5hp motor in the YS4500?

I can probably get the whole rig for a trade of a mountain bike I've barely got $100 into.

Any ideas??

Don't know about your particular machines, but I tried a deck swap 42" to 42" on a couple of Craftsman machines and some of the mounting connectors would not align - would have needed some fabricating/welding to adapt. Tom

I put a B&S I/C 11.5 hp into a LT1000 with a blown 18hp B&S twin and it runs better

Doers the YS have hydro? If not, I would adapt the deck.. If yes, then swap the motor.. Hydro is worth it!
