Mower deck wash ?

Top zerk spindles, the shafts can be driven out w/ a deep well socket with the nut threaded on the shaft. The issue w/ X series is that some have kind of a bell shaped spacer which makes it difficult to drive the old bearing out. It can be done though. I have an oval bearing driver that I use.
That was going to be my next effort using a deep well impact socket and see if I can knock it out. Geez, I wish I had a press.

Just a heads up, I took the bearings out of JD spindle for an X300 that I had to replace. Interesting that the bottom bearing did not have an inner seal on it. This was a dealer bought spindle. The top bearing have both seals on it. Hmmmm, why the bottom bearing did not have the inner seal is beyond me while the top did. It also had the spacer in the housing like another post suggested and it did make it harder to get the bearings out. The bearings look okay to me and feel smooth but hard to tell with just turning by hand. The bearings look identical to me, part numbers are the same. Will order two new bearings and see how it lasts when the next spindle gives out.

The lower bearing has the inner seal either off or somewhat different to more easily the grease to work into the bearing. Grease doesn't go up, so the seal is left on the uppers to hold the original grease in. Typically they spec different numbers on the bearings. No harm if you got the sealed bearings and popped the 1 side out.
