I had one go out on Gravely rider with Onan engine. $75-100 for replacement, but I put a $15 generic one on and it has worked fine for years.

There it is, $12.50 in all its glory professionally installed I might add lol.

I'm getting 33v AC out of the alternator and I'm getting 13.3v DC at the battery, my problems are solved.

Excellent! Should last a while. Nice when things go right, and fairly cheaply too.

I didn't even price a OEM regulator, I just found one on Amazon and ordered it, if I get 2 years out of this one, I will be very happy with that.

I'm curious how long my idler pulleys on the deck will last, I guess a lot of people complain and replace those often on various mowers, the Ariens mower I bought new in 2010 and have serviced for my mother ever since is going on 7 years old and it's all original spindles and pulleys. Battery and deck belts is all that mower needed.

My dads 445 JD which is 17 years old with over 1000 hours has all original spindles and pulleys.

Before researching when one on my Husqvarna failed I didn't think it was very common.

If you look carefully at the pulleys and idlers they used to have real big bearings in them, some were probably even fitted with zerks for periodic greasing. Like everything else most pulleys and spindles are throw away and made cheaply to cut the cost of the mower at purchase. Then owner has to replace them down the line as an ongoing cost of ownership. Tricks of the trade, IMHO. :confused3:

Well, that one anyway! :)

Keep it up tuff guy lmao, I may challenge you to a mow off!

On second thought, nah. The peddle HST is faster than my stick HST and you have the glorious fabricated deck, my stamped deck is getting a little thin in places lol.
