I was quoted a price of over $2,900 for the 60" mowing deck for the BX24. Does this sound like the typical price for the mmm?

Buy the tractor and shop around for the mower.
Nothin says you have to buy them both from the same party.

I've got a 48'' mmm off a bx1500 i'd let go for 800.

BX 24 - 60" MMM with tractor purchase ( if that matters)...
In June I paid $1,578 before tax. My first quote from another dealer was $1,684. Actually, same dealer, different location.

I paid $1600 about 1.2 years ago..

I paid about $1,500 from memory for the 54" MMM, but that's up here in the N.E. (aka nortoriously expensive) part of the country.
