Check with every JD dealer with a 500 mile radius for a used JD290 finish
flail mower and you will be able to manage your brush and grass with no issues.

I think if you are asking for something that will cut deep thick grass smoothly, evenly, easily and cleanly on a single pass you are going to have to invent something, because it doesn't exist.

I would recommend either a JD1024r or a JD300

1025r is basicly a riding mower on heavy steroids (35hp). I do allot of work with mine.

I tried cutting the dry, long brown grass in my field last evening with my flail mower, which I haven't used in a long time. The mower is fine but the flails need sharpening badly, as the last time I used this machine was on the paths in the forest. Although the flails did cut they pushed most of the grass down rather than cutting it. So if you use a flail mower make sure the flails are sharp or you'll be wasting your time, as I did.
