AH! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifI guess I did not consider the obvious! Thanks for the lesson. It's all makes a lot of sense.
Soil compaction, maneuverability, weight above the center line, etc…
This is what makes this place really great for new Kubota owners like me! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Thanks again! I think I’ll drop that FEL tonight just to get used to doing it!

Doug-I take my FEL off when I mow only because I found it's easier for me to manuver around the trees, etc. After a few times it's very easy to remove and reattach. Every once in a while I'll leave it on if I think I'll need it to do something while I'm mowing. I've found the best thing to do is try it both ways and see how it works for YOU. As you know, everyone has different circumstances.

I cannot remove my FEL!!!
I tried this weekend to no avail an need some help.
Some history...
I've had my B7500 and LA 302 for one week now and decided to attempt a FEL disconnect after reading this post. All conditions were perfect; I followed the FEL owner's manual to a T and had the unit on my level concrete garage floor.
Post, removal of the side pins, in an attempt to slowly roll the bucket back, I noticed one side lifting and the other not. I got a total of about 3/4" clearance and then just bucket movement. Looking down (from drivers seat) on the right side of the mounting bracket, it looks as though the arm is somehow wedged /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I also notice that since day one, when I park the tractor and drop the bucket to the floor, one side hits first. Could this thing be out of square or bent somehow? I've not thus far preformed any heavy loader work or stressed the FEL in any way.
Any thoughts or suggestions? (I can also provide photos this evening for additional insight)
Thanks, fir ya'lls help

I have a BX2200 that I purchased in December. I take the FEL off every time I mow the grass. So far I have taken it off 6 times and installed it 5 times. It takes me a maximum of 10 minutes to remove or install. No binding or difficulty whatsoever.

I think your loader frame must be torqued.

It is possible that the loader frame was fitted to your tractor on uneven ground and has a twist in it. It can be straightened by loosing the frame bolts on level ground and adjusting. Get your dealer to do it and also get him to show you how to R&R the loader since you are having diffuculty with the operators manual. In order to pull the loader pins you have to lift the front of the tractor with the loader--going on and off. It is not possible for the loader to be "wedged" if the loader pins are installed and I assume they are. Hey, look, this is very easy to do--my wife does it---my neighbor who is an electrical engineer and has sissy soft hands can do it. I bet that pig of yours can do it---and so can you--if you read the instruction manual. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif J

Thanks for the insight on the possible precarious frame positioning! I'll be calling the dealer on that. As far as my level of comprehension in reading the manual or the level to which I am mechanically inclined, is not the issue. I have a viable issue with this FEL not lifting off, in full accordance with the instructions provided. I do not doubt the ease of the function or your experience in dealing with such matters. After all, you did say that my pig could do it. As a new tractor owner and new member to this forum, I’m simply looking for possible answers to this issue. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thanks again!

Maskimxul:

Read your note regarding you problems with the FEL. When I put my FEL down when parking the 2200 I have, one side hits before the other. However, my unit is easy to remove and install. I have the pleasure (?) of having to pull two pins on the right side as I have a cab and cannot use the one pin method advised by the manual. You might want to check whether your FEL is level when it is raised. Check side to side and front to back. A long construction level will help.

However, any hydraulic system with more than one cylinder is going to act a bit crazy as each cylinder will be a bit different. Hence one side hitting the ground before the other.

Thanks for the good thoughts!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I played around with this tonight and here are a few pics of what I'm dealing with.

Here is yet another pic of the BIND that I've encountered. Now after I took these I jumped up and down on the opposite arm of the loader and the thing popped out. I was able to re-attach with a little persuasion. I can live with it if it's not going to cause any problems.

Once you have the pins out (and tractor idling) tap the joystick like you are raising the boom. Leave the tractor in neutral and it should roll back and kick the upper attachment points loose. Then rotate the bucket in a little and the bottom pins will disengage.
