I neglected to mention that the $9999 quote for the BX23 included the FEL, so it would list for about $10800.

Hi guys,

What am I doing wrong?
Sofar the best I'm getting is 7% discount. is it maybe that here in CA they can't affort a better brake???

It's tough here in CA. Do you live in the SF Bay area. If so, I can tell tell you the dealer I'm working with now that initially quoted $15,500 for a BX23. I never bothered to bargain any lower since I've since decided on a B series instead. I can also tell you two dealers not to bother with.

Hi seapea,

actually, I live down here in So. Cal and the lowest I have come on the tractor/loader/backhoe combo was 16,200.
I even had them price me a complete package with tons of implements like 60' mid mount, ripping claw, sweeper, box scraper and a rake.

I guess it's a tough market.

You might have to travel outside your area a bit. Here's what worked for me. I'm between two dealers, each about 30 miles away. Neither made very good offers. I went to a 3rd dealer about 60 miles away, told him I was "shopping around" for a BX23. I also told him where I lived, so I'm sure he figured out that there were two other dealers more convenient for me. This resulted in the $15,500 quote without any haggling. I went back to one of the other dealers, and he said if I could get a BX23 for that price then take it. I never did bother going back to the other nearby dealer, since I didn't care for him much.
