MTD Push Mower

I replaced the diaphragm on my Briggs carburetor. When I reattached the carburetor to the engine I broke the cast thread loop to which the the carb is bolted to the engine block. Any ideas on how this might be repaired?

Is there enuff of the ear left where you could put a big washer on the bolt to catch it? if so try it. zman
