Well that sounds like a success to me. Glad they worked out.

Put it on a wet clay road with 5' grader blade yesterday. Didn't seem to have any better traction than I did with bald turfs. Looks better and wasn't any worse. Turfs were cracking so they needed to go anyways

A light truck mud tire needs rotational speed to clean itself out which we don't have much of on our tractors. Even R1's can get clogged with mud so I wouldn't fret too much.

I put BKT Trac Masters on my 755 they were $ 236 a tire , 33x15.50-15 on wider rims

They have a lot more bite then a turf , yet not as hard on the lawn as an R1

How long have you had them and how are they working out? Did you have to go to wider rims because that is the only size the tire came in? I have been thinking about going to an I-3 chevron type tire for my 1710. It has 13.5x16.1 diamond treads on it now but I want more traction without losing the flotation. These BKTs look nice but I did not see them in the size I need.

The tire you put on look like truck tires not tractor tire to me. The tread pattern are to close together. I think the ply of the tire also is not high enough for heavy loads, but if you just cutting grass it should work but not well in the mud at low speed.
R4 tire would work better in the mud and the tire that Kevin M has look like a very nice tire.
Regardless your new tires are better than any dry rotted tire.

They certainly are LT tires. But he also knows this. The problem he likely found when looking for new turfs is their costs. A single rear turf tire to fit the 855 rings in around $300 plus shipping. This tire, in the same size, is half that. It's also a 6 ply rated for 2200lbs per tire. I don't think he'll exceed 4400lbs on the rear. Mud performance won't be great since his wheel speed won't be high. But I've had R1 Ag tires totally mud packed and they're better than R4 industrial tires.

I haven't had them that long , They an 8 ply tire made in India ( copies of the Good Year pattern on some 2wd JD tractors ) yes I found a set of wider rims
