Mud Grip Tires to replace the Turfs on my 855

There were a couple of companies on the aftermarket who built cabs for the 55 series. I'm not aware of any making them new. I've been contemplating adding a canopy with front supports tying into my loader mounts. Partly to add safety but also as a means to push branches out of my way before they hit me. :D

I have the Goodyear version of those on my Kubota B2400. They were on it when I got it 10 years ago. I'm surprised that I don't see more of them. They are easy on the lawn. Good on the gravel driveway and seem to do ok in the snow. The only disadvantage to them I see is a large footprint in the garden.

Mine is actually a Curtis Cab , in the summer I remove the windshield and doors which makes it a canopy. I did search high and low and finally found this one 2 1/2 hours away , only took like 7 years to find it

I've been on the hunt to get one too... and my luck when I've seen one they are either on the other side of the country or more money than I can spend.

Poked a hole in one already. Probably would have happened with any tire but didn't take much force to push the plug in so rubber must not be very thick or reinforced. Was hogging in some vines that had pretty big thorns. Hole is right in the edge of the tread.

How many ply is the tire? I don't think my turf tires are any more plies than a typical light truck tire.

It was rated 6 ply but the sidewall reads " tread 2 plies rayon, 2 plies steel, 1 ply nylon. Sidewall 2 plies nylon."

The sidwall rating may be my downfall.

I have driven it over lots of stuff since I plugged it with no problems. Tore down an old dog pen with jagged broken concrete and cut up chain link fence yesterday.

I think that's normal. Sidewalls never, to my knowledge, have the same number of plies as the tread. No need normally and ride would be hellish.

The BKT's are 10 ply
