Muhammad and TBN members

This post is just food for thought

I was wondering if there has ever been any consideration for a new forum where members from different regions can specifically post. Within the forum have headings like Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Australia & New Zealand. This forum could be used for general discussion were prices, makes and models, weights and measures, common practice and terminology differ regionally. I think this type of form could also be used as a cultural awareness as well for those interested.
I would also think a section like this may encourage many more members from other regions to join us, what do you think?

Certainly a good suggestion... obviously we can't duplicate all forums, but maybe one "Foreign" forum would work.

I was just thinking lat night how good a UK forum would be. For example, we may have different models of tractor here, maybe even different makes ect ect ect.
Maybe one of those sub heading bars, Europe, with owning/operating, buying/pricing, and related topics or something.
There would probably only be a few people on to begin with, but then again TBN probably started off small.
Either way, thanks for the forum already here.

PS, I dont think 'foriegn' is a good name, obviously you guys are all foriegn to me, not sure you'd all fit into one forum /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, just a thought.

I am sure Muhammad never meant anything by using the word "foreign"

However it is interesting how people take offence to the use of the word foreigners none of us like to think of ourselves as foreigners.

Just looking at the main index it would seem the items you have mentioned are covered but not consolidated in one location.

Just for interest sake the US itself covers a substantial area from Artic to tropical. Add Canada to the list and it is a very huge area. Should these areas also have their own seperate forums or headings as the machinery and use vary greatly.

I'm very happy with TBN as is and as as I have no ownership just plain appreciate being able to find somewhere to disemenate my lack of knowledge. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Vin, I took no offence, I rarely if ever take offence, life is just too short to get upset /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I hoped the faces sybolised it as a lighthearted comment rather that a rant.

Egon, I understand the point that you make about the differeing conditions across the US, what I meant was that there are diffent model numbers here and we tend to miss out on some of the models you have, say there is something heard about on TBN that you really want but realise later that it isnt available in the UK.
It also gets a bit old converting £-$ and temps ect.

I also agree that as I dont own it I am very happy with the way it is, have no nitention of pressing my ideas till they happen and probably wont even mention them after this thread, but nice to get them out there.
Anyway thanks for the way it is, also glad I can express my thoughts about possible improvements.

I was thinking of "International" but since International was/is a tractor manufacturer, that would cause some confusion.

How about a European and if necessary seperate Africain/Asian forum. Possibly rest of world?
