Mule 3010 diesel or RTV...Which one?

My RTV900R was $ 9,750.00 plus accessories. They did install all the accessories for the list price of the parts. I added the dump option, plastic top, front & rear hitch, windshield, glove box, accessory box, rear work light, taillight guards, windshield wipers (2) and front mud flaps for another $ 2,750.00 for a total $12,500.00

The cost a lot and they are more that a Mule but they are a REAL machine..... The Kubota diesels just don't give up. The Mule is a good UV but it's not anywhere close to the RTV.

FL Cracker, Did you buy your RTV in Georgia? I was told that's where they are made. If so, it might be easier to get a good deal there since they aren't shipped quite so far. If I could get one here for that price, I'd be all over it like a cheap suit. It looks like I'll be paying $8,950 (out the door) for a diesel Mule. That's the best price I've found so far.

I purchased mine at Mason Tractor in Blue Ridge, GA and they had lots in stock and unloading more.

Blue Ridge is about 2 hours above Atlanta....

I will not say a single thing bad about the Mule. I really don't think one could. However, as you have heard on this thread, the RTV has moved the bar up a pretty good notch. One of my friends that does business with me sells Mules, and I likely have spent 3 hours test driving a diesel Mule. I really can't put my finger on it, but for me there was something that just didn't quite click for me.

I'll admit, that before they changed the body style, the looks kept me away. I don't think they are bad looking at all now. Their power feels good with the diesel. I don't know. I have the fortune of having the Kubota dealership about 2 miles from the Kawasaki dealership, and I drove both numerous times. I'm sure that both thought I was just pulling their chain after so long. My buddy with the Kawasaki dealership flat asked me if I was waiting for JD to come out with their diesel HPX to have another comparable model to try out. Oh yeah, the Polaris dealership is directly across from the Kawasaki dealership too. I ruled out the Polaris for my "heavy" use, but it came back into the equation later when I ended up buying a Rhino.

I know this is sort of rambling, but if you can drive a Mule and then almost right away drive an RTV, I think you'll know what I'm talking about but can't put into words. With a personal friend owning the Kawasaki dealership, needless to say, there was a pretty good price difference for me as well. I still picked the RTV. Either way, I don't think a guy can go wrong with the diesel Mule, the RTV900, or the diesel HPX Gator. Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I was in Gainesville a couple months ago. I called the factory there hoping to get either a tour of the facility or hoped they had a small retail store for buying accessories. Neither occurred (and are not offered). They did give me the # of the local dealer. I called. No discounts.

The RTVs are made/assemblied in Gainesville, GA @ Kubota Manufacturing of America, and the nearest dealer is R&B Equipment in Cleveland, GA...they have a lot of RTVs there as well.
