Also about 10 grand more $$$
The MX5400 I bought last year must have increased by about $9K because the tractor, loader with bucket came to $30K (I then added about $2K for other stuff).

Im gonna guess that there was a significant price increase.

My cousin is looking at a LE3560 right now. And prior to talking to him a week ago I had no idea what a "le" model was and that it was significantly cheaper than the grandL line.

He originally started looking at the Lxx01 line. Like a 2501 or a 3301. But wanted a stronger loader with more lift capacity. So he started taking a look at a 3560

So thinking "old-school" like before the LE models I told him to look at either a L4701 or a MX. More bang for buck because they arent a "deluxe" model right.......well I was wrong.

He said the 4701 was ~$6k more. And the reason was because the 3560 was an LE model. So I can only imagine what a MX would have been.

Currently on kubotas site right now for comparison purposes....MSRP as follows:
L2501 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA526......$24,124
L3301 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA526......$26,741
L3901 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA526......$28,858
LE3560 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA805....$32,099
L3560 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA805......$33,736
L4701 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA765......$36,463
MX5400 HST ROPS R/1 w/LA1065..$39,597

Thats on par for him saying ~$6k more for a 4701 even though the #'s only show about a $4500 difference.

And about $3k more for the MX.

Reality vs MSRP arent exact. But it seems to me kubota is either jacking the prices pretty high on the Lxx01 tractors to push people to the GrandL models....even if it is a LE model.

I should have clarified that my out the door price was after the 20% equine discount so the original price was $37,527 isn't that far off of the $39,597

Entering all them options you listed....you have a list price of 37,527. That is currently at 41,116. So its went up about $3600 since you purchased.

The bucket went from 1087 to 1221
first position lever kit from 512 to 559
second position lever from 253 to 277
double acting valve from 254 to 266
the loader from 4295 to 4822
the rod indicator from 73 to 82
loader valve from 754 to 847
float detent from 307 to 335

The current MSRP for the LE3560 is about $7500 less than the MX. And the L3901 is more than $10k less than the MX.

I didnt configure a bunch of options.

For comparitive purposes and to save time....I only picked a tractor, loader, and bucket. And made sure all were 4wd and HST with ROPS. I didnt check any accessories, remotes, level indicator, or any of the other nickel and dime suff. Just simply a base tractor and loader comparison. The prices have gone absolutely nuts IMO.

I bought my MX used back when it was ~4 years old and only had 320hrs on the clock. R1's, HST and a loader. $20k out the door. It is now another 6 years older and ~1200hrs on the clock and I could probably sell it for more than I paid for it

Not sure if you got the skinny on the LE machines vs normal Grands. They are just Grands with some electronics & accessories stripped. All the wiring harnesses & mount points are there so you can add the missing stuff later if you want it.

Switch for cruise control
Cab lights
Rear view mirrors
Passenger side steps
Probably a few things I forgot

I upgraded the stock cab lights anyway. You can't get in on the passenger side. I've put maybe 2-3 hours on the cruise control in 750 hours. I do use the rear view mirrors a fair bit as I road the machine a lot.

I'd seriously consider a LE machine myself if it was an option 5 years ago & I had to do it over. Price is a lot cheaper than the few parts they stripped.

Thank you all for the advice. I ended up ordering a 3560LE from my local dealer. They had one on a sister dealership lot that should be on the way but they’re looking for a LA805 loader for it so that may cause a delay. Salesman I dealt with was great and seems to have my best interest at heart rather than just trying to meat a sales quota. He even told me not to buy one of their trailers because I could get one cheaper.

I highly doubt the 2 PTO hp is gonna be noticable. Especially with hst plus.
With the added weight it will be unless you always operate on level ground.

HST plus adds convenience but not power.

This is true but HST and HST+ allows you to apply the power you have more effectively.

Exactly.

I have a 3-14 plow and a 11' transport disc for my mx.

I have plenty of traction to pull both. In low range, at 3.5 mph.

Med range is a 7.5mph gear. And I cannot pull them in med range without having to slow down to the point I might as well leave it in low. I cannot sustain 5mph unless really soft ground.

Would allow me to shift to the low range of medium and likely sustain 5mph easily.

It's all about finding the optimum gear. And HST+ doubles your chances of being in that ideal range
