Must haves for New Tractor

/ Must haves for New Tractor #21
I forgot to add a battery charger/maintainer to my earlier post. Tractors sometimes sit without starting for extended periods, particularly in winter. Nothing more maddening than a dead battery, especially when you really need the tractor to do something with right then. I mounted a small onboard charger near the battery on mine, then routed the plug out from under the hood a couple of inches, so I can plug it in without having to raise the hood on the tractor. Works for me!

I have a friend that keeps his extra tubes of grease in the refrigerator because of the summer heat. Not in the house, but the shop.

Congrats onthe new tractor, If you plan on using the loader for digging or brush clearing of any kind, i would get a toothbar right away they are great , i have 2 standard tooth bars and a pirahna bar. either is good but i beleive the pirahna is actually better for digging. Also a good toolbox or several like i have on my 2538 are a must.

Just brought a Mahindra 1626 with backhoe... First time owning a tractor... Wondering what are the must-haves and and brand / type recommendations... so far my list is:

1. Diesel Fuel Can

I have steel and PVC fuel containers. I prefer PVC. Tuff Jug is the brand I like. With Tuff Jug design tractor filler opening bears some of the full fuel container weight.

Your fuel consumption will be 1/3 gallon per hour. Five gallons will last you 15 engine hours, which will be three, probably four days of home tractor operation. Buy FRESH diesel for only one month at a time. Almost empty tractor fuel tank before refilling. (Average residential tractor use is 60 engine hours per YEAR.)

tuff jug diesel container - Google Search

U sure it isn't HDPE? Most gas containers seem to be that, and not pvc.
