This is what I did on my L3400. You'll have more space to work with, but if you're adding 4 sets of remotes, which is 8 connections, you're going to be pressed for room as well. I think you meant 4 connections (2 sets), but the process is the same regardless.

You might want to consider using a stackable valve body, and not a monoblock style like I used. The stackable leaves room to expand.

Be sure your directional valve includes a pressure relief, that lets you customize the pressure at the remotes to suit your needs.

Routing the hoses so they're out of the way can be tricky too, unless you're inclined to bend and fit hard pipes. I used all hoses, no problems so far.

By the time you're finished, the dealer option of a factory kit might not look so expensive. Mine cost me almost $700 by the time I was finished. The valve, hoses, fittings and adapters all add up.

I believe the maximum for the Kubota brand rear remotes is three on an MX5100. I bought one set when I purchased my tractor as I heard that was the more difficult one to install. After that it's stacking on the first from what I understand.

Yes I bought the whole kit and followed the directions. We got it installed in about 2.5-3hrs. Everything you'll need comes in the kit. 3 remotes is Max. I can't explain the float and detent that great hopefully someone will jump in. Or just search it on here I saw a few threads.

yes the installed valves are costly.but if you install them yourself,an you mess up doing it.it wouldve been cheaper to let the dealer do it.

I've had no issues at all. I just have a top link hooked in right now and ill be adding a cylinder to a rear blade soon.

What kind of pics do you want? I thought I had everything posted already.

If the MX5100 is anything like my L5740 it should be a very easy install. I did mine in a couple of hours. Just be careful with the O-rings that they don't get out of place before things are bolted together.

Check out purchasing the 3 factory Kubota valve kits and install them yourself. Then put an electric divert-er valve on one of the factory valves for the 4Th unit. Relatively quick, and makes for the cleanest install.

I would be sure to get at least one of the remotes with float position, you will want it for your tilt cylinder of the top and tilt kit. ;)

orange toys, i got the pix. thanks

mvr, what do you mean diverter valve, please xplain, i`m lost. when this is all said & done i`ll be getting the top & side units from you.

thanks, cm

The diverter valve switches the output from one of the spool valves to a different set of hoses/quick connects.

In other words, if you have a three spool valve and one diverter, you have enough outputs for 4 sets of remotes simply by switching the diverter to the alternate position. Keep in mind that you have to switch the diverter between the two sets of remotes, both won't work at the same time.

I think there are diverters that are capable of handling more than 1 set of connections, I haven't looked at them personally.

I may be wrong on this, but that's the way I understand it.

I have an MX5100 that I would like to add a set or two of rear remotes. Would anyone here have the Kubota kit number for the parts? Thanks!

Curtis,
Go to the Messick's web site and pull up the parts document for Kubota-MX5100DT-"OPTIONS" . It will list all the individual parts. I'm not sure what the "Kit" numbers are but if you call them, they'll be able to help.
