MX5100 is Here

I have a MX5100 and it also " bounces" alot. I think with the loader on you need alot of wight on the back. Mine is probably worse because I don't have loaded tires yet. Whem I'm doing loader work I put 1000 pounds on the back. Aside from this you will love the 5100, it is a work horse. My airblast orchard sprayer pushes the 5100 to the limit. It takes every pony it's got to run the blower, pump, and pull 300 gallon of chemical up a small hill at the same time. But the 5100 gits er done. Good luck and congradulations with your new tractor.

I put my counter weight on @ about 700# and it did slow the bounce , it is still there at about 2200 - 2500 rpm on the road, it goes away at higher rpm / speed , it seems that with the right amount of counter weight the bounce might go away, It may be a matter of balancing the loader / grapple with counterweight. I will keep messing with the weight and post up my results. I am liking the MX5100 better every time I use it, HST is sooo nice compared to gear. The MX5100 is allot more able than the L4400 I traded in.

I have loaded tires and a box blade on my 5740 and don't notice much of what you've described.

Your tires have a maximum loaded capacity of 4400 pounds each at 20 psi. Load inflation tables are available at the Riran website or the Tire & Rim Association.

I will check out the load tables, thanks, tractor is awesome, put 6 hours on this past week , moving 10 cord of wood with grapple, loading 60 ton of potash in spreader for my bro's fields, loving it.

Congrats!

I like the looks of the MX5100. It might be my next Big tractor, but with ag tires and gear drive.

My 3800 is a keeper though... :D

How is your L3800 going? Whats the FEL like at moving dirt? Do you have a BH and how does that work?

I've had the 3800 for 5 months now and I am truly impressed. It's just a basic work horse, with no extras, but I like it like that! Fits my needs just about perfect. It also fit my budget, 16k with 14 hrs and a 5' Land Pride mower. The FEL moves dirt just fine and quick. It is also a pleasure to mow with! I do not have a BH though. Thanks for asking!

My MX5100 was delivered last fall. I have hauled firewood, run the bush hog, raked and tettered hay, renovated the drive way, planted a large field of grass for hay, fertilized my yard and tilled the garden with my 72 inch rotorary tiller. Plus I have installed two very nice food plots of forage soy beans. The tractor hasn't missed a beat. My only concern is the light rear end when the loader bucket is full. The rear tires are loaded but it is still light. I am planning a counter weight for when I will be using the FEL for moving material or light digging.

I have enjoyed this tractor as much as a man can without it being obscene. It is a work horse. We have a nearly 40 year old Massey Ferguson that the mX5100 has taken the place of. Since that tractor was bought new on the farm and didn't have 4wd I went with the 2wd model. It really has turned out to be a great tractor. My brother in law uses it to tetter and rake hay and it is perfect for those jobs.

All in all the MX5100 is what Kubota says it is - a utility tractor. Wish I had two!!
