I bought the MX5100 the other day and I am want to add some rear remote to the tractor. I would like to have at lease two float valve installed for the TnT setup. Does any one know or have any experience as to how many float valve you can have on the MX5100?

I did some research and search about this subject, but no one seem to have a definitive answer. Kubota notes that you can only install their float valve (L8304) in the second position only. Giving the assumption that the first and the third can only be DA (L8303). Looking at the L8303 and the L8304, the valves are basically identical except for bottom of the valve body.

Looking at the parts diagram, it looks like you would be able to bolt on three float valve in tandem if you want to and have three cylinder that have float function. Has anyone ever had any experience with these valve and their setup?

I know there is a lot of knowledge here, the biggest problem is finding it sometimes!

If you can find a PB line, you can tap into the series flow path and install as many valves as you want.

You can get stacked valves with float from Surplus.

What would be the problem/harm of stacking three float valve (L8304) in a set up that suggest that the stack be DA/Float/DA (L8303/L8304/L8303)? Given the ports and levers are all in identical location.

I am committed now to the Kubota setup. I already have everything to put the remotes on the MX5100, but the valves themselves. I was to add more remotes, I would definitely consider the PB setup. I have the skills/nerve to customize things on the tractor, but I just don't have the time and tools sometimes to do some of the fabrication that you guys take on here on TBN.

It looks like for right now, the second valve with float is a tested method from Kubota. I just wanted to know if any one had the chance to try a three float stack setup on the MX5100.

If they will physically fit, there is nothing wrong with having all 3 with the float function. You can do that on a grand L 60 series. But for whatever reason I believe that the Kubota valves just don't fit and is why only the 2nd valve can have the float function. See if your dealer will take them back if you try all 3 with the float function and it doesn't work. Maybe it will work, only one way to find out.

Good luck.

C4Ranch, do you know what the measurements are for those float valve? The diagrams don't do them justice, there's a whole of room to account for with those float valve cans. But the back of the MX5100 is pretty uncluttered, so there might be some chance.

I know I am not the only person who has pondered on this. Surely somebody who know a Kubota dealer has asked them to try it out or even a dealer who has experimented with it.

I'm not near my tractor but if you look at my link, the pic of the stack is against a 13" tile so that will give you some perspective.
The real deal is the length and bend of the hard lines coming off it. That bolts up to a block on your 3pt cover and tucks your stack up close.
