OP
BB weighs 700 lbs. Too wet here yet to try it out much.
Nice tractor...spent some time on the MX4700/MX5100 before getting my L-series.
I have the Super Sunshine and it is a beast. Like the high blade speed as it cuts very cleanly.
Do watch the bearings in the tail wheel assembly...I greased mine often, but started out ok one day (or so I thought) and the bearings came apart by day's end...could not get individual replacement parts (bearing/races/shaft/cap assembly) so had to buy the whole hub assembly. Took new one apart when I got it home and got the numbers off the bearing/grease seals so if (when) it fails again I can get parts locally for less.
Also, if you have the slip clutch, you do need to follow the service guide (located in that black plastic tube attached to shredder). The clutch surface will rust lightly over time and not function properly without occasional service...easy enough to do...just need to do it.
Not bashing the shredder...the galvanized deck will last a long time and they use a strong gearbox...cuts great and it built to last. Just a few things I have learned on mine.
One other thing...do not put the manual back in the plastic carrier...put it in a file folder in your shop. Water got in mine and made the book sort of useless...you can download updated manual on their website. Also there was a Tee Shirt in there!
How is the tractor balance with the loader off while shredding with your L-series tractor?
