It sure looks nice. We are wet here and I haven't put mine on in several months; raining again today.:(

Nice tractor...spent some time on the MX4700/MX5100 before getting my L-series.

I have the Super Sunshine and it is a beast. Like the high blade speed as it cuts very cleanly.

Do watch the bearings in the tail wheel assembly...I greased mine often, but started out ok one day (or so I thought) and the bearings came apart by day's end...could not get individual replacement parts (bearing/races/shaft/cap assembly) so had to buy the whole hub assembly. Took new one apart when I got it home and got the numbers off the bearing/grease seals so if (when) it fails again I can get parts locally for less.

Also, if you have the slip clutch, you do need to follow the service guide (located in that black plastic tube attached to shredder). The clutch surface will rust lightly over time and not function properly without occasional service...easy enough to do...just need to do it.

Not bashing the shredder...the galvanized deck will last a long time and they use a strong gearbox...cuts great and it built to last. Just a few things I have learned on mine.

One other thing...do not put the manual back in the plastic carrier...put it in a file folder in your shop. Water got in mine and made the book sort of useless...you can download updated manual on their website. Also there was a Tee Shirt in there!

Thanks for all of the replies! In this part of the country, lots of humidity and wet weather, so the galvanized option is very appealing. I have owned a 7ft. Modern predator on a larger tractor. What a beast! I am planing to sell it, but I havent had any problems with it.

How is the tractor balance with the loader off while shredding with your L-series tractor?

How is the tractor balance with the loader off while shredding with your L-series tractor?

Can not answer that yet...still clearing a place in barn to pour a pad to store the loader when off, so have kept it on while mowing and other things (really sort of a pain in the rear with it on doing thoses types of things...already busted a couple of top fence boards ). Also have yet to make decision on method of ballast (liquid in tires, ballast box, etc). Will try it with shredder on and FEL off before making that ballast decision...it may need the fronts ballasted to help...not sure.

Still learning but having fun.
