I never understood why equipment manufacturers use a universal key.
Sounds like he needs to get serious with some anti theft / theft deterrent measures. I am in the same boat. My shop gets hit once a year. Never took a tractor, but did get a pretty new arctic cat 4 wheeler, not to mention a boat load of tools the last time.
Robert, I understand what you are saying...but for $49.00 (includes shipping costs) I can buy a 41 key master set that most likely will start any piece of farm or construction equipment sold in the US over the last 50 years.
Finding this "buy" took all of 30 seconds. If I was a thief, I am sure that it would be my first purchase for my burglar tool kit.
Imagine if every vehicle (car and truck) could be started with such a small collection of keys. Vehicle theft would rampant!
