MY 2012 5085M At the dealers!

Had a 5310 stolen, a truck, 5085m and they even tried for the forklift!

Around here they going for skid loaders, backhoes, and small tractors. For bigger equipment that require lowboys, they do it during the days and tell them the equipment is going in for service.

Did that to someone with a 5420 open a few years back about 20 blocks from me.

I hope there is closure to that stolen tractor and the thief gets put away for a longtime. That's insane that they do it in broad daylight and pose as service men.

Me and Edward already thought about this, It wouldn't take long for the thief to smash out the glass anyway.

Did they break the front glass to gain access to steal it? Or maybe got thrown thru the glass when it was driven into the ditch at full speed? :laughing:

I see no need to break the glass to get in if they had a key...........unless you changed the door locks to the security versions (not keyed same as ignition)

That was my thought too, hense why I suggested the security kit. That broken window I bet is a result of the crash into the ditch.

False, They didnt know how to open the doors, (As you can see for some dumb reason they broke the door release so they had to break the window to get out.

From a security standpoint, isn't there a fuel shutoff on that engine? I have a similar tractor and can't recall but I thought I turned a lever when I changed the fuel filter to stop the flow. If not this tractor I think most Kubotas have a fuel shutoff. Again, I'm not certain but if there is a fuel shutoff, that would be a real theft deterrent since it's a good bet the perp isn't familiar with the fuel system..

Not that I know of. It has a electronic fuel pump. So anti theft wise just unplugging the fuel pump might work.
