I know the local John Deere dealer will have me fix up by the end of next week, but. A little history first, I'm the only John Deere owner on the block. Every other owner has a Craftsman of Kubota (BX2200 or better), I was told to go with Kubota when I asked my neighbor, which brand he would go with. I told him that I bleed green and yellow and orange was crap or at it's the very best sub par to my deere ( at that time I own a 757) . I also bragged to the other neighbor that green was the way to go (end of story). Today I was mowing on my 2210 (with only 49 hours on it and a full tank of diesel) when the engine went dead, no warning, no other trouble, just went dead and would not start up any more. My truck had a yard of dirt on it and a semi flat tire. So using my truck to drag the 2210 to the my shop was not an option. I had to either leave the 2210 park by the road and unload all that dirt by myself ( on the truck and the yard and a half on the trailer attached to the truck) or ask the neighbor to bring his Kubota BX2200 to drag the deere to my shop 2 acres away. I debated back and fourth and finally decided to ask the neighbor for his help. He towed the 2210 down the road for 500 hundred feet in front of all my other neighbors then to my shop. I was SOOOOO embarrassed I put my head down in shame. My neighbor smile and said, "maybe you should have went with Kubota."
I know the dealer will fix it but the shame of orange towing my green and yellow 2210 down the road and up a hill was devastating.
