It may have been sucking air from the get go Tom. You're right,it shouldn't move when it's running. The bucket though, that is a different story.Especially the curl. With a healthy load of gravel (at least 1000 lbs) the curl on my bucket will start to relax, but ever so slightly. By the time I get to the end of our road,(3/10 mile) and I hit the curl,it may move an inch or so. I'm sure that kind of movement is normal.

Hope you get your baby back soon.:)

Greg

Greg, he didn't give me a time frame, just said it was ordered... The curl on mine would go down also probably an inch or two with a bucket of dirt on it. I would only travel short distance 50-75 yards and for the lifting it was dropping 5-6" before they would get 6 bundles of shingles out of the bucket and if I would try more shingles it didn't want to lift it... Now when this is fixed and operating correctly I wander how much trouble I'm gonna get into!!!!! I really do like that tooth bar, I really can't compare the bucket without the teeth though because I've been having so much fun with it..... I've been digging hard shell dirt out behind my garage and putting it on my quad/tractor paths for the wet spots it has been working great! I am sure I will be going into withdrawal before I get it back but at least I got my hydro fluid changed out at 33 hours!!

I'm new to the JD brand, but in my Kubota none of the hydraulics ever drooped or move when it was running with or without a load.

When I talked to the dealer they said there should be no bleed down while running also, the part for my tractor is supposed to be here Thursday afternoon and I am hoping to have it back Friday??? They also said from what I have told them that they think the line was bad from the factory....

Just got the tractor back, it is low on hydraulic fluid and there is a plastic Rivet missing out of the seat pan. They are going to run it back out or ups it to me. The line that broke was an all metal line that went from the left side of the engine block to under the seat. He said that it was split on the bend under the seat... They picked it up Monday afternoon and got it ba k Thursday night, dang fast service!!!

Glad to read you got it back.

You would have thought that after replacing a hyrdo line that they would check the hydro fluid level.

He said they did but then again he couldn't get up my driveway with his flatbed so he drove it up from down my driveway. I guess my driveway must of adjusted it a little...;)

Glad it all worked out. That hard-line still sounds familiar in where it split. Hopefully they send you the rivet and some hydro :). Now you can get back down to business.

Yeah it does sound familiar where it split to me also, the sight glass shows full when it is sitting but not once it is running. I won't be able to get the hydraulic fluid until Monday evening unless they drop some off today when I'm not home.... The weather does not look good this upcoming week and I do need to fit in a grass cutting though. At least we have it documented on the line here again so if it starts happening to other people they will know!

Hey Tom,
Glad to see you are GTG now.

To correctly check, tractor has to be shut down, and all the hydraulics have to be relaxed. Fel on ground all cylinders retracted,3PT lowered. Then see what is in the glass or on the dipstick.:)

This is with my 3PT raised and then lowered.......big difference.

Greg
