Great job! I would like to get more clearance on my Steiner, what size tires and rims are those? Do you use it in low range to make up for the larger tires?

View attachment 356976This week I did extend the front blade on the mini 4x4 tractor by 10 inches so it would clear the outside duels when plowing snow . The extensions just bolt on so they can be removed.
Any chance of getting more views on those extensions?
I'd like to see how they bolt up to the plow.
Great idea.

Thanks , The tires are 30" tall and yes I am now using it in low range and it is a perfect speed for snowplowing. For attaching the wings I welded flat steel to each end of the blade with 6 predrilled holes . Then the added wings have the same 6 holes and I just used 5/16 " bolts to bolt them on.

aaabox1.jpgNo I don't get depressed in the spring when the snow melts, I am usually tired of plowing snow. I am excited to get going on the next project in the workshop without having to buy kerosene for the heater.
Here are some pics of our neighbors mailboxes we took today . That is only 135 inches of snow , wait til we get another 70 inches by spring. I am very excited to see a old fashioned winter.aaabox2.jpgaaabox3.jpgaaabox4.jpgaaabox5.jpgaaabox6.jpg

There are a couple angles in the pics that almost could look real. I'm still waiting for a perfect 6 inch storm with around 30 degree temps to take the perfect video of it in action. This 0 degree weather with 30 mph winds is not as fun.

Finally everything worked out today to get the little 4x4 articulating tractor out and my wife took a video of me plowing in the backyard to share with everyone. A couple times I hit the rock hard bank and spun the wheels but other than that it worked great . There is a link on my webpage at Don Campbell Models - Hand Built Miniature Machinery
or if someone wants to add the link here that would be great. aaaoutback.jpg
