aaasat4.jpgThe little snowblower worked great again this morning . I just wasn't sure if it would work that good without 4 wheel drive. But so far it has done a excellent job. Today we woke up to 10 inches of new snow putting us at a new total of 165 inches for the winter so far. I think I am the only one in Gaylord excited to think we could get 200 inches before spring.

Yes, I did see the fellows 4x4 articualting tractor from Canada, very COOL. Thanks , no heat , wanted to keep the cab to scale so the back comes off to drive it . Still keeps much of the wind off me and dressed warm it isn't too bad plowing snow with it.

Is his tractor on this site??

Thanks again for the many nice comments.
I always question every project I do because I am no welder , I am no bodyman , I can't paint very good and my fabricating is so , so . I am the first to admit my stuff is far from perfect . It's even a little embarrassing showing my tiny little one car garage size workshop. I still drool when I see peoples workshops with lathes, milling machines , a iron worker , computerized plasma cutters , etc.
My methods are so crude but I really do enjoy each new project challenge. Thanks again .:)

Don - first and foremost, what an impressive build. In all reality, your projects prove that (even if not highly trained at) you certainly can weld things up, put together superb metal works building more than just adequate bodies so your fabricating and bodyman skills certainly don't need any honing. You certainly have a "natural" talent for designing, engineering and producing some of the most fantastic pieces of equipment (spent some time on your blog - WOW). I am a mechanic by trade, bodyman by hobby and carpenter, electrician and plumber by virtue of necessity - none of which could hold a candle to any of your work. Well done (BZ) - stand tall and proud!!!

aaaproject.jpgFinally I am back in the workshop !! Yesterday I cut a piece of 2.5 in pipe and welded 2 spindles on the ends . I wanted to get some use out of the other two Steiner wheels and tires. The center of the rims were to small so I had to cut them larger with the plasma cutter. I mounted a seat post and started on the front and rear hitches. I will build a floor section and fenders too. I will be able to hook it to my walk behind snowplow or just pull my grandson or wife behind my garden tractors:thumbsup:
Gaylord is now at 170 inches of snow and no sign of spring yet.

aaasulky.jpgHere is todays workshop progress on the sulky . I cut out , bent and notched the first fender and you can see me holding a piece of 18 ga. sheet metal as i get ready to mark the second fender . Still doesn't look like much but in a few days it should start to look better.

aaabothfenders.jpgGot the second fender built and all the notched areas welded . Also got the ends of the fenders capped.
I am now boxing in the rear section. Slowly looking better .

aaasulkyfrontview.jpgaaasulkyrearview.jpgMore progress today showing the rear of the sulky boxed in and braced and very sturdy. Also had to add a set of lights for my grandson, ha,ha.
The front photo shows the piece of tubing I welded along the bottom to make the front of the fenders very strong . Terak should be able to jump on those fenders and not bend them. I boxed in a area for his feet and now I am working on the tapered floorboard for my feet.
