Well I have been wishing I had a SSQA for a long time just never could see spending the money for one, so I finally broke down and built one With scrap I had laying around and some stuff from work. I have about 100 dollars in the whole project after buying paint and a few other minor stuff.

Here are some Adapter pics

did you fab all the hardware for the locking mechanism yourself or buy that as parts from bobcat or the like?

No I fabbed everything my self with simple hand tools, I did buy the two springs holding down pressure on the locking pins, the two black springs under the handles that hold them up in the unlocked position are heavy valve springs from a ford 302.

Handles were cut from 3/8" plate with a torch

Pins were cut from 1" square stock with a chop saw

The bolts going from the locking pins to the handles were 1/2" grade 8 6" long then I cut the heads off and flattened one end to insert in the locking pins.

The base plates were 8" wide 1/4" think C channel Then boxed the top edge with 2" wide 3/16" angle

The boxed in area were the loader pins mount set on some 3" X 2" x 1/4" angle

I cut off and reused the loader arm mounts from the bucket.
