That is very nice. I've thought about doing the same, but haven't followed through yet. Maybe now I'll get inspired.

Nice job, Country Bumpkin. This is getting a bookmark. I gotta try this with my tractor.

i picked up a pair of used forks for $30 on a trip to the scrap yard a few weeks ago. i was just about to get around to making the frame for them. i think this is a great idea to do for me too. will make switching from the bucket to the forks a lot smoother.

Wow, nice work. I was in the same boat, not wanting to spend a thousand bucks on a SSQA. I ended up buying one that didn't fit my tractor ($135) and modified it to fit. Not sure I have the patience to start from scratch like that. It looks factory made to me !

Again thanks everyone. I had a add a grapple that i built for the top of my bucket but just did not really care for that design, and also a set of bolt in forks that fit the bucket, again just did not care for them either. This way i can build a separate grapple unit, and for unit. Will be starting the grapple today and the forks after it is finished. It took about 9 days of on and off working on this from start to finish (worked on it in my off time at work).

countrybumpkin,

My hat's off to you with kudos as well for a great looking project!

I have a 1991 L35 that I'd love to do the same thing with; however, your bucket appears to me to have a flat back to it. Therefore, you could just cut off the pin pivots and incorporate them into your SSQA. My bucket has a rolled back and I'm not really sure how I'd be able to do the same thing.

I know they make kits, but I really liked the idea of how you fabbed your own pieces.

Wondered if you had any ideas?

Thanks,
B.W.D.

Not real sure either, do you happen to have a good pic of the back of your bucket? Oh to answer your question yes the back of the bucket were the plates were attached is flat.
