So far I only had time to do some tilling and transfer some dirt. Over all I like the machine, it seems underpowered but its nowhere broke in yet. Im hoping after it gets some hours on it, it will become better. I had a deere 955 that was 33hp and it seemed like it had more power but it only weighed 2000lbs or so. I think it will be good only time will tell.

The power may get a little better.
There was a noticable increase in power on my tractor after I logged 100 hours or so.

nice looking set up how do you like the tiller?

What about it seems under-powered. I seriously doubt it "should" be under powered. Brake dis-engaging ok? I'd be finding out why. Because if nothing else, I'd say that thing should have some serious guts..

I really like the tiller, I dont know how I did without all these years.

Power wise well it has 3 speeds and when in highit has no guts at all I assume its just for travel only, around my property high is useless heck if you throttle up and stab the pedal it will about stall cant even get out of its own way. I have not had a chance to use it much yet, to compare to my last rig. I do have to say the loader is much more powerful. I really dont want to run the tractor to hard yet, trying to get hrs on it first by just riding around doing small task and shutting her down letting it cool and running some more. Once I get it broke in ill have a better idea what it will do.

If you "jab the pedal" it will naturally "about stall" It's about the same as dumping the clutch in high gear. The less you push the hst pedal the lower the gear if you will. It's not like a throttle pedal where you push it further to get more power it's opposite of that.

I figured that was the case its just my old 955 had no problem running it the same way but it also only weighed 2000lbs and the tires were not as big and it was prob geared a lil lower.

I am just going to have to spend some time and get used to how it likes to be run. As it is now high range is useless to me. Med and low seem ok. I used low almost the whole time this weekend.

The lift capacity of the 3pt and loader is awesome compared to what I had before. So far that is what I wanted the most out of my tractor so I am happy:D

Nice looking tractor Tinman! What made you decide to step-up to the 440? Have you decided what you are going to do about pallet forks? It doesn't appear that you got the Bob-Tach loader with your tractor - am I correct in that? Are you getting rear remotes?

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on my tractor to get here (you may recall that I bought it on May 23rd) since they are still waiting on the Bob-Tach loader. What's funny is that Saturday I received a questioneer from Bobcat asking me how I like my new purchase.:p
