My complete inability to make a pneumatic grease gun work !

Many times I learned the easiest way to get one to work is to take the hose/pipe off and put my finger over the hole and pump.
This will "BURP" it and when you feel just grease coming out put the hose back on and you are good to go.
I work on some machines that have two bearing areas that take 30 pumps EACH! When the gun is working.
I found a air operated Grease Pump on CL that takes a 5 gal pale and rarely have issues with it picking up the grease now.

Yep, don't matter if hand pump, air, or battery.....you gotta vent the air

After releasing the rod, the spring is forcing the rubber cup toward the guns head. I unscrew the casing from the head to release air. Then tighten the casing to the head. A few pumps and it works.
