Let's see if this one works better. This is my Cub after my daily snow plowing this morning /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif (at least it seems that way lately).

That sure is pretty, but I think I'm glad I'm not there./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif It was in the 60s here today. Does the ROPS ever hit any of those limbs and give you a snow shower down the back of your neck?/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Yes Bird, it does. I always make sure to zip my Carhartt suit all the way up, and turn up the collar as well. This afternoon the sun was shining (haven't seen it much lately), and with the snow in the trees like it is, the views were just beautiful. Makes a person glad to be alive!

Sure is a pretty tractor, in a pretty setting Corm. I've always had a soft spot for Cubs, ever since my dad's IH scout in '66. I looked, but no dealer close to me when I got my tractor. From your profile, looks like yours is well equipped. Post some backhoe pictures for us when the snow melts /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

ahhhh fresh snow to plow (or only to scoop right now) I sure do look at a fresh snowfall differently now that I have my BOTA! Hello Corm, your driveway looks great!/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif did you cut it yourself? it looks alot like mine, meandering off to the left through the woods like that. What kind of attachments or devices do you use to handle all the trees? I just got my tractor ,and I still really dont know what it will do with the heavy hauling. A very pretty setting you have there, have fun putterin/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Hello putty340 - No, I didn't put the driveway in myself, it was there when I bought the place 12 years ago. The driveway is 1/4 mile long. I do all the maintenance on it, seems like it is a never ending task (a labor of love....). I have nothing special I use to handle my wood cutting chores. I cut about 6 cords of firewood each year, and carry it all in my bucket and on a 3 pt carryall I built. I find it easier to get through the woods carrying it on my tractor as opposed to pulling a trailer. A 'woods' trailer would probably save me some time, but I really enjoy the time I spend in the woods. I do find as I get on in years a hydraulic splitter looks a little more attractive every year... I installed rear remotes on my Cub last year when I bought my backhoe, so running a splitter using the tractor hydraulics ought to be easy to set up. Northern Hydraulics has been running a pretty good deal lately on their 3 pt splitters.

Hope you enjoy your new Bota!

Corn,

That is sure a pretty looking place you have there. I would enjoy some more photos, when you have a chance. My local dealer had a fire this last year and decided to call it quits after 30 plus year. Of course this gave me a reason to buy "stuff" as he was about to close shop. I bought a Bush Hog 3pt splitter and don't miss that maul at all. Bush Hog doesn't make splitters anymore, but this one was new and had been at the dealer for awhile. I figured for $400 the wife would only be mad for a night or so. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I think it was the other "deals" I got that got her going. I'd say, go for a splitter.
