Note the turning radius, inside 4' 11", outside, 10' 5", and 6' 5" cab height is why it gets around good in the woods. :thumbsup:

I'd like this in a newer /smaller 75HP version with 28" tires all around. The fact that a 42 year old machine still commands a price of $17,000 says a lot .

I'm trying to figure out how "driving" in a circle, is more maneuverable than using an individual brake on a tractor, so that will turn right around in it's own length?

I think it's the (small) size that make's them hold their value, plus easy used parts. You can move them around with a 1 ton p.u.
They were the "standard" back in the day. Skidders sure have changed.

Driving in a circle is for going around trees.

It is more maneuverable because of rear wheel steering, which also allows crab steering to get away from a fence or building.

OP here. Glad you dredged it up- that's some serious engineering. Hate to ask the price though.
