Ohio State. Go Bucks. Hopefully with Jim Tressel things will be different in Ann Arbor this
year. Still searching for that quarterback tho. My OSU flag will be flying this Saturday.

We know West Virginia won't win anything and Ohios good days are over,Ohio had some good years but they are all behind them for sure.Too many better teams out there Nebraska,Miami, Florida State...Michigan

I only know of one REAL college football team -> the BUCKEYES!

Its going to take a lot of years before anything happens in Ohio,Cooper could not do anything. Michigan cleaned the Buckeyes clock more than once.Florida,Nebraska would destroy the Buckeyes.The Buckeyes had a few good years under Woody and it won't happen again.So many better teams elsewhere.

I'm an Oregon Ducks and Boise State University fan. I like Iowa but wouldn't say they're my first. I played at Oregon and did my master's at Boise State as a grad. assistant coach plus I grew up close to there so them and Oregon were my teams growing up.

The Buckeyes screwed up big time when they let Earl Bruce go in place of Cooper geesh,Bruce was not the most popular person,but Ohio would have probably had a national title( I doubt it though).Too many politics up there at Columbus. What a joke............

On the practical side, you're right the Columbus "Football-itics" are the biggest challenge for any OSU coach. We should-a-could-a won a couple of Nat'l Championships in the 80's & the 90's. The talent has been there. Last season, there were as many Buckeye Alumni in the NFL as any other college.
Earl Bruce was an excellent coach. Cooper brought in alot of talent, but couldn't win the big games - 2nd or 3rd in the nation, even a few times, means very little to the elite programs. He never fit in with the Buckeye media. Jim Tressel seems to please the media & have ingegrity. The Buckeyes will be back - the programs' history & facilities enable them to recruit the best in the country.

Well, I have degrees from four universities, but it ain't hard to pick which one to root for.

Columbia once had a good team in the 1940's when they had Sid Luckman at quarterback. Ho-hum.

Harvard once won the national championship in the 19th century. Yawn.

NYU doesn't have a football team that I know of.

So, it's ............ FSU. GO 'NOLES!

I hereby challenge Gatorboy to a wager on THE GAME, even though this is probably the worst FSU team in 15 years. If he wins, I'll buy him an FSU insulated mug for his tractor. If I win, he sends me a UF mug. Will he put his money where his graphics are?

Yea but so much for the national championship. Really hardbreaking to fans like myself as Oregon won't get too many chance to win the big one. This was their best chance, probably ever.

My blood runs Ohio State & Bengals, though now living in Tennessee, has some orange in it.

When I first moved here, I had the audacity to ask "What is a "VOL"??"

I ranted & raved to friends & wife that UT needs to play a "real" football team. A real blueblood where Men are Men. they need to play someone like OSU.

A couple of years later (and now a couple years ago) they did and for those who know the result...let's just say, that I NEVER NEVER make any comments about UT football now /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I am with you on this one. I have my FSU hat on as we speak (or is that write?) I fear we may have to gang up on Gatorboy this year they look tough and it isn't the Noles best year.

Glen, I was in Tallahassee from 73 til 85 (no, not all of them in school) were you around in those days?

Mark, I was in Tallahassee from 71-74 as a law student. In 88-89 as a law teacher. My daughter was born there in 74 and is now in her third year as a law student. We are a Noles family! Darn team should have won about 10 national championships.

Gator, your proposal does make more sense. Forgive my backwardness--I went to FSU after all. The wager is hereby so amended.
