Pac10 teams have only been beaten by other Pac10 teams, yet there national ranking suffered greatly by the lone losses they suffered. ??? Guess they don't bribe the voting judges with enough loot like the other conferences do.

I guess not. Michigan was beaten by Washington, but still rated above Washington. Like you said, not as good...just better! The top 5 Pac10 teams have a perfect record against all other conference teams and have only LOST to other Pac10 conference teams..... Parity in the pac10. Who else has (up until this weekend) five teams tied for first place in the conference, and ONLY one loss each (to pac10 teams).
H-m-m-m-m, I guess not as GOOD as the Atlantic coast teams. Yeah, RIGHT.

I think, last time I checked, Michigan was located in the Midwest.

Maybe Oregon or Washington will be able to get a bowl game against the Gators. If so, I'll give you 13 points.

True, BUT they get Eastern exposure. West coast teams do not, or when they do, it is in the 11:00 P.M. time frame for game start. Whoopee.

Gator, while freely admitting to being an Oregon (teams, as in both) Fan, and native. I will admit to nothing when it comes to Fox Sports....turkeys even cut the last five minutes off the OSU/Washington game....so they still are in my 'rotten so&so column.

But Al, The Beavers deserved their moment of fame!!! Just like the Huskies, deserved their moment of shame! They just plain got outplayed today. Don't know what it is about that school (OSU), but it seems in bad years, they always manage to be a 'spoiler' for someone. Contrary to Gator's opinion, the PAC10 has been a very balanced, STRONG conference this year.

I agree completely with you Scruffy. The voting is biased to no end and that can't be denied. I still say the only way to fix college football is limit the regular season schedule to 10 or 11 games max and have a playoff. Every other conference in the country does it. Why aren't the best of the best able to play one?

Al, you got that right! The northwest teams always seem to be (in their 'down' years) spoiling someone else's 'great' season! On a given Saturday, they come up with some great games, guess they've found a way to reduce the effects of rust, freezing, arthritus, etc the past couple of years! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

It ain't never gonna happen Doc. A school like Notre Dame, goes 6-4, and gets invited to a bowl game. They draw a big TV audience, you know. Why would they want to see the current system changed?
IMO, it's all about money.
