Just made a reply about blackbirds and went off on a tangent. About 18 months ago, I got a Beeman R9 air rifle. To put it mildly... I LOVE THIS RIFLE!!!

It is so much fun, a helluva lot easier to maintain than my old speedloader .22 and pretty darn accurate (all limitations are mine, not the gun's)

I was trying to think about unsavory aspect of this rifle and the only thing I can come up with is that pellets are real susceptable to wind. Two questions.

If you have an airgun, what kind and do you like it???

What is you favorite plinking air/firearm???

BTW - signing off for the long weekend, everyone be safe

Just a friendly reminder...
The question is NOT "what is the best..." but "what is your favorite..." and remember for YOURS to be best, it doesn't have to be BETTER than anyone elses

As a plinker, neatest rifle of mine is a Marlin 1894 .38/.357 lever action.
Just a nice rifle to plink with and not too expensive to shoot.

I had a Remington Viper (.22 semi-auto) I sold about two years ago...that was a nice plinker too. Wish I'd kept it...

My favorite plinker is a Ruger 10/22. My mom bought it for me for my 18th birthday.

In a long gun, definitely the Ruger 10/22! My favorite has a Buler Creek Lightweight Barrel mated to the tweaked factory action, and all nestled in a Ruger Deluxe stock.

In a hand gun, its the Browning Buck Mark line. Excellent triggers, and reliability, plus superb accuracy.

The second rifle from the bottom is my favorite plinker. It is a H&R M12 US military training rifle. It sports the Redfield Palma rear sight and an Olympic front site with interchageable discs. This very heavy .22 is capable of moa shots at 100 yards.

Remington 541S - a laser beam that is far better than me out to 100 yards. Only fun rifles to me are accurate rifles and this one groups under MOA.

Ruger Super Single Six - probably the most plain fun plinker I've used. And still good for quarter-sized groups at 25 yards.
