My new L-3400HST (8 Hours) just got a new BH-75 hoe installed yesterday( $6800. with 2 buckets) and today I did my first backhoe job. My first 6 hours I was able to do over 200 feet of 40" deep trench with the 16" bucket. Talk about smooth. I found that about 1500 rpm was not jerky at all and real easy to operate. Bring on the work.. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It is amazing how smooth these backhoes are. I've had my 75 for a couple of months and was digging quite well in no time at all. Glad to hear your first outing is going well too. I don't know what to think of the bent rods going on with these units lately though. I hope Kubota is able to resovle the problem with Volnavy's hoe.

I've been operating the BT1000 BH with an 18" bucket on our L39 at about 1,400-1,500rpm with excellent results when I am not in a hurry or need super power for something. It does an excellent job at this level and is a real fuel economizer too! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You need not worry about your hoe if you don't dig up close to the tractor. The further out from the tractor that you dig the safer you are.

I wish you lived closer so that I could come over and give you a report on how it works. I'd love to have a backhoe ... maybe one of these days. It's not that I really need one but you know how that goes.
