Instead of 6 to 10 inches of snow, we got an inch of heavy slush. Broomhilda handled it in fine style. John Z. is getting jealous.

My elderly neighbor was out shoveling her driveway by hand. I told her that she needed to get back inside and get warm, and that if she tried that again, she deserved a good spanking.

31 hours on the hour meter now. How time flies when you are having fun.

The broom sure does a nice job! It looks like you are having fun with your new toy!

I love my broom,it's not as nice as a Ventrac broom, but it was only 350 dollars and a few hundred worth of parts..i don't use it often but it sure is nice for spring cleanup and especially cleanup around the wood pile....

With all new pulleys and attachment plates and belt I'm still under 600.00...its going to need a brush soon but it works fine as is.throws snow about 25 feet forward I'd you run it wide open..

Did you have to change the pulley? I understand the belt width is different.

Changed the pulley because I didn't like how beat up it was...Steiner uses AB pulleys so they are compatible with Ventrac.. The same belt works on both Steiner and Ventrac.. I've used the broom on both machines... The only difference is that Steiner runs a 6" engine pulley ,the Ventrac is closer to 7 inches.. And the double idler is slightly larger on the Ventrac so sometimes a half inch to 1 inch shorter belt is required to run a Ventrac attachment on a Steiner, and vise versa. I find it out half of the attachments have enough adjustment left to not need a belt change ... The rototiller does require one the broom doesn't,the mower decks do,the leaf blower doesn't... There's also a speed difference the Ventrac attachments run a little slower on a Steiner than they should and Steiner ataxhments over speed slightly on a Ventrac, its not a big difference but its definitely noticeable...
