I think it was Fredricks who contracted with the manufacturer - a longtime supplier of ROPS and other accessories for American tractors - to build/test/certify these. And I wouldn't be surprised if the manufacturer is the same one who supplied ROPS to Yanmar-America back in the day.

Hoye and others retail some items from Fredricks, sometimes at a better price. My ROPS came from a Hoye ebay auction for a few dollars less than anywhere else I could find.

I don't know how much shipping is for a rops from Texas, but you can get everything you need from
403 Forbidden in Hartselle Al.. probably a couple of hours drive from Nashville.

Good idea! That's a 2 hour drive. I'll give them a call. Thanks.

grease. Dont worry about it you can mix greese just like oils. That is a wives tale. Maybe there is two hugely different greases that cant mix? but they all work togeather that i know of. Cheap black molly grease works or you can go as expensive as you want with mobil 1 or something if you want.

Interesting. Suppose for a second that the incompatiblities are only significant in "high stress" locations. Are there any such locations on my tractor? Or am I really just over-thinking this one?!

Thanks all for the ROPS suggestions. Hopefully I can pick one up from Fredericks and get to work!

Over thinking it. There are not many high stress areas with grease on your tractor. The most high stress area is the front axle pivot. But your still over thinking it. Just put grease in it. Someay even say "compatible with all greases" I dont know I dont look at that type thing?

Its not like a piece of heavy equitptment that has huge pins that hold parts together that have huge sheer pressures on them and when they wear they get sloppy and the parts start to knock around when they wear out.

Only place with grease is the pivot point on axle, the steering spots, the brake and clutch pivots, and the front king pins (those have a load too).
