John Deere 2320
Just wanted to share pics of my first tractor.. Its hard to tell how many miles this things has run in my parents basement going around and around.. its all original and the seat/steering wheel are broke - but its in pretty good shape for being 40 yrs old..

thinking of using it as a landscaping decoration by putting it in a flower bed.. I am thinking of painting it John Deere green/yellow though

My father bought something similar for my grandkids/his ggrandkids about 3 years ago. No doubt down the road, it'll be worth a fair bit more then it cost to buy after 40 years, plus it'll likely have a similar look of being used and well enjoyed...plus it's a 'Ford'.

As for repainting your tractor, if I may suggest, it might be better that you clean it up, look for a new seat and steering wheel and hold onto it. I'm sure it is worth a lot more then you think, and repainting it in non-original colours may devalue it considerably, though I'm only speculating.:D

Also, if grandkids come your way, they may appreciate it as much as you did. Whatever the case, don't get rid of it...it's too cool for that.

I don't think I would paint it or leave it outdoors in a flowerbed either.

OEM and in the dry for sure.

Gently clean it up, then look on-line for replacement parts.

Some of those old pedal tractors are fetching a lot of money!

Definitely in too nice of shape for a lawn/garden ornament!

Edit: just looked on ebay; similar pedal tractors running from $300-1500!

It's made it all these years and is still in great shape. Why paint it and stick it out in the rain?!

Your toy though.

Like others, I would clean it up and do some restoration and keep it dry; nice little tractor.

Yep ... clean it up, search for parts, keep it as close to orginal as possible and give it a parking spot inside.

I would find a stearing wheel. Then dont paint it, but save what you have , by painting a coat of clear.I have used a product called "Penitrol"Brush it on stright out of can. it will dru saten ,but will seal your Tr. An keep it under cover."IMP"

Please don't do anything to that tractor. Its an antique and besides it's made out of metal, and metal toys can bring BIG money. I have on similar to that in my cellar and it's not going into the "great outdoors" it's going to help my retirement fund one day. . .John
