My first tractor

Hi everybody. I just bought the first tractor I've ever owned. It's a Ford 2000, and I was just wondering if there are any good websights to get info about Fords like mine. A web sight with pictures and how to stuff.

The reason I bought it is that my neighbor had a great old David Brown tractor, and he and I used it for everything. He passed away a couple of years ago, and I miss him but I also miss having a tractor, so I finally decided to buy one.

Just want to welcome you to the forum. You'll find plenty of people right here on TBN that can help you with that tractor, as well as the great sites homeinwestIL told you about.
Check out all of the fourms as you'll find valuable information on "how to" in all of them.
I can imagine that it would be more fun for you if your friend were still in the picture, but enjoy your new toy. John

I'll add to the good info you have already gotten.

Over at YTMAG, the Ford board is good.. but the traffic is a tad slow. Don't be bashfull about posting about your 2000 in the 9n/2n/8n board. I hang out over there.. we mainly talk about 928 N's.. but also the NAA, hundred series, and thousand series. We have conversations generally up to the 5000 model.. though an occasional 6000, 7000 and 8000 slips into conversation.

2000 is a GREAT tractor..

Is it an early one with the art deco sheet metal?

I think from what I've been able to find on different web sights that mine is a 1966 model. It's really nice having a tractor around again. I have a wooded area where lots of pine trees reside, and have had a lot of them blown over in storms over the last few years. I've spent the last few days using the old Ford to clean up the mess and enjoyed every minute of it.
