Sometimes one ends up with something that's really a struggle early on but then when sorted out turns out fine, even great. I bought a washing machine that had all kinds of issues, I even replaced the main circuit board (parts supplied under warranty). Many people might have given up, but I kept the unit: it was what I wanted. What appeared to be something that wouldn't last more than 5 years has now been quite reliably running for 20.

It can be frustrating. But, what can you do? One invests a lot of time. If you give up then you've got to deal with disposing of the item (forcing it to be bought back, or sell it etc.), researching again, and, perhaps going through more new manufacturing issues. There's a strong point for going with used stuff, and that's that someone else has usually gone through the early issues: only new vehicle I've ever bought has been my Kioti. I suppose that it's at this time when the dealers matter the most; one should never feel like they're in a battle alone.

I wonder how many of the issues you mentioned could have been avoided with a better dealer. You mentioned lose bolts and leaky hoses...I bet a bunch of those were dealer installed/assembled...I've never seems a Massy at the time of delivery to the dealer, but I know Kubota's come packed in a deceivingly small crate..lots of assembly at the dealer!

Broken weld on the loader, seems like a genuine warranty issue. Curiosity, did you check the loader frame bolts? could be lose, causing a twist. The loaders are made in Tennessee BTW.

I do recall some of you other posts, did the replacement hydro pump fix the weakness issue? If it was weak form the get go, should never have been delivered to you!

That is NOT a weld! I could have tacked that with a 12v and some jumper cables; perhaps they did. I have a GC1720 myself, and it too has been a workhorse. I have a dealer within 30 minutes of home, but have yet to need them for anything other than parts.

I'm sorry you're having this many issues, but you will need to be your own advocate. Locate, Google, have the dealer give you the contact info for the regional rep. By chance did you finance this? Did you get the insurance? Perhaps an AGCO insurance claim would be faster since in its current condition, the tractor wouldn't be worth what's owed.

Perhaps ShieldArc will lend his expertise to the reason that 'weld' failed.

I've never seen a Massey upon delivery to the dealer, but if they are anything like kubotas, they comes tightly packed in a crate and require a lot of assembly. I wonder how many of your issues should have never happened with properly assembly and inspection...specifically lose hoses and bolts...

The weld on the loader shouldn't have broken, but I wonder if the loader mount was lose, helping cause a torque to one side? The loaders are made in Tennessee BTW.

I have some memory of your other posts. Did the replacement on the hydro pump fix the "power" issues? It never should have been delivered to you, the dealer should have either fixed it before selling the tractor or returned it to AGCO.

I can understand your frustration, and can say that every brand will occasionally have a story like this....Just read around enough on this board, you'll see them. I suspect your mind is already made up. Get the loader fixed, and bite the bullet, take the loss, and go trade it on another brand tractor...

TRIPPLE post?
They can be erased, if done in a timely manner.

You seemed to have got a lot of NEW equipment for just 18K. Some would say, you might just get what you pay for and economic reality can't have it any other way.
