Dale . . just a thought . . The grill guard that comes from Massey that fits the GC products . . Would you have enough clearance to have that on with your plow and use that as a ballast rack ? Its strong, well positioned (high and tight), and usually there is some clearance with plows for angling needs . . and you could add weight in a 12" to 15" inch wide area that would be 125 to 150+ pounds if there would be enough clearance.

I had to take the grill guard off to put on the quick hitch and plow.

It sure looks pretty....but the 1/2" snowfalls haven't even required getting it out of the shed.

Could the grill guard mount in front of the quick hitch and still provide clearance for the pliw . . . In other words frame-quick hitch-then grill guard . . .then clearance for plow? If so there is a solution I have in mind.

I can't see any way to mount the grill guard and the quick hitch at the same time. I have an approximately 5x5x15" chunk of steel that weighs 85# that I have been trying to figure out how to sit on top of the quick hitch without welding it on. I can't figure out how to strap it on. If I were to weld it on the weight would make the hitch unmanageable by one person.

How about hanging it on with:

2 long threaded eye bolts
2 holes drilled in metal and thread the holes
1 metal rod or pipe that goes thru each eye bolt and suspends weight

Deluxe Option . . Thread each end of rod and add nut on each end keeps rod in place . . . If pipe instead of rod . . Thread inside of pipe and use either a bolt on each end or tractor pin with lynch pin on each end

How is that for not even knowing what it looks like lol ?
