Dan,
The Miller 251 is a fantastic welder. A must for every do-it-yourselfer. Good luck with your project and remember, post pictures. I'm following the other thread also. I'll post more pics tomorrow night.

<font color="black"> </font>
whiterock,
I'm not worried about bending any of the mounts. Remember, we're not crushing cars here, we're just holding on to objects with slight pressure. My relief valve pressure is somwhere between 2633 and 2775 psi. My cylinder is 2 x 8", 20.50 retracted and 28.50 extended. My placement number are B-C = 10", A-B = 12.50, C-D = 13" . Let me know how my numbers compute.

Ladies & Gentleman, please direct your attention to the center isle. New for this spring, in matching Kubota orange and gray, we have my grapple. (pic 19)

All in all, I’m very pleased with my grapple project. I’m guessing that it added 150 lbs. + or – to the weight of the bucket. It can be removed in less that 1 minute by unhooking the hydraulic hoses and pulling 5 pins. The 3” square rail remains on the bucket and does not interfere with anything. After operating the grapple, I made one small modification; I increased the hole in the restrictor to 1/16” to allow the grapple to cycle a little faster. It now opens in 2 seconds. (pic 23)

I have a few action shots, but nothing fantastic. It is still very wet where I want to use the grapple and it just isn’t worth making more of a mess than I have to. It will dry off by July. Thanks for looking at my posts and remember to make your seat time, safe seat time.
