If you had to choose only one function, would you want the top or tilt cylinder?

I've found I use the toplink much more frequently than the tilt on my TNT system. I suppose this could vary depending on the work you do most frequently.

Not related to the question....but...Bird, did you change your picture?

Somehow you look different... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Then again, could just be me... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dang, Bill, you're really on the ball. I just this evening replaced that old picture of myself with one my wife snapped about 3 weeks ago; still no prettier, but more up-to-date. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Very nice work on your hydraulic setup. I built a similar toplink for my Deere. I copied the hydraulic toplink I saw on the Bailey website. I have not worked on a sidelink yet but after seeing yours I may copy it. Cylinder size and those angles have stopped me from getting it done.

You mention that it was not too difficult to put the Power beyond kit on. I have the 3rd hydraulic lever from the factory for using a mower deck so the brackets are already there. Are there any surprises to hooking up the power beyond and how long did it take? Do you have to remove anything like the seat or fender to get at the hydro outlets? Did you consider a threaded hydraulic cylinder rod and using the stock sidelink arm from Deere? Sorry about all the questions, its just that I am impressed by your work.

Green in MI:

Tht top link was just purchased and a couple bushings made it a Cat 1.

The tilt cylinder was just a surplus item from Prince. The lower bracket is just a 1" nut welded to some flat steel and bent to match the angles of the origional link. I heated- matched-heated-matched-etd. with the lower stock link to get it close. Thats all you need.

YES, I did try a 1"nut welded to a metric bolt that fit the lower end of the origional link. It fit but the assembly was TOO long to really work. (It is also pretty hard to get the link apart since there is a drive pin on the botton of the link rod to prevent removal. You can figure it out but it isn't worth it.)

If you already have the third valve then the Power Beyond is just two pipes and to replace the one origional and a bunch of fittings to connect them together. YES, you will have to remove the seat, etc. to get access to the pipe connectors. You should be able to see all old pipe connections, Just those nuts to get to. The new ones just go to the PB outlets on the back of the tractor. (Looks easy--Hard to do!!) you know the drill.

Good luck and I am glad to help.

Lilidoun,

I too am fabricating a TNT for my tractor (BX2200). I purchased the same loader valve that you did which I'm using on my homemade FEL. I already had a 4 spool valve that I purchased for another project and used it for the rear. I mounted it to the roll bar at the rear of the tractor to control the TNT as well as two additional remotes. I figured I'd use the two additional valves to raise and lower the outter booms on my homemade 110 gal sprayer. I've also posted some of my pictures on Webshots. Click on the Link below.

The shots of the TNT and spool valve were taken before I plumed the lines. I'm in the process of doing that now as well as making any other modifications need to make everything clear throughout the full range of motion.

I recently (over the week-end) fabricated a Boom Pole on steriods. I basically used the hydraulic engine hoist idea and used a 20 stroke cylinder plumed into one of the remotes on the rear of the tractor to produce a very nice piece with a more than adquate range of motion.

PS: Like your work!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Danny, VERY nice /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. What did you use to cut-out the components and weld with? Is this your design or did yuo use a CAD from someone ? That bucket really levels out!

Danny,

I also enjoyed the photos of you work!

And also was wondering what type of welder you use...especially since I enrolled in a welding class and had the first class yesterday /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Your welds are just soooooooo nice /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
