I will keep that in mind. I will be looking to get one of those draw bars for the 3pt hitch for pulling small logs and items I need to lift a little bit to drag better and stop tearing my yard and trails up so bad.

What grade chain do you use? I have a really large logging chain now and it is not long enough, but not sure how small I can go and still be able to do some of the pulling and lifting with it.

5/16 grade 70 will do all that your tractor will do, and be safe. I have 4 of the 20 footers and 6 foot piece. I have grab hooks on all but the short one which has a slip hook with a retainer clip on one end for the clevis. With grab hooks you can make the chains any length you want. And sometimes you need to be far far away to pull over a tree, or to get the tractor on solid level ground. (not that we have much of that here in Branson)

Guys with tractors larger than ours might want 3/8, but I have always run out of traction before I have come even close to breaking a 5/16 grade 70 chain.

Level ground is hard to come by here also in Chuckey.

I was looking at the Harbor Freight chains, that's what I am using now.

I bought mine at a farm and ranch supply house...Make sure they are grade 70 though.

Will do, that is what is listed on package. I will open one up next time I'm in the store and see if the links are marked somewhere just to be sure.

So far this grade 43 chain from them has pulled some really heavy logs and that Hemlock stump. Having extra length would be nice, so getting a couple will be in the works along with a barrel and some concrete. I really like your ballast barrel! Will make another post when I do that.

Most of us try to be useful. I don't know if you subscribe to the "Friendly Politics" section, which available only if you say in your profile that you want to see it or not. It ain't all that "friendly". Lots of "opinions" and some actual "strife" on that section.
